An internationally raised American/Dutch actor bringing depth, curiosity, and global perspective to her work, Sophie trained in England at the London School of Film, Media and Performance before completing the two-year conservatory program and was accepted in their third-year Company at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC.
Sophie has continued her craft through AMAW Studio’s Master Class (Anthony Meindl’s Workshop), Organic Intelligence training with Helena Walsh at The Actors Practice, and as an artistic associate with Eden Theatre Company. She was also selected as a guest artistic resident at the Woodward Residency in New York.
Her screen work includes the short film BARE, which she co-wrote, produced, and starred in—an official selection at the Canadian Diversity Film Festival and Westfield International Film Festival. She also appeared in the independent film CACAYA, selected for the Montreal Festival and Festival ECRA in Rio de Janeiro.
On stage, Sophie has worked with Origin Theatre on How the Nuns Tamed New York, performed as Sister James in DOUBT at the Sheen Center, participated in staged readings at HB Studios with Eden Theatre Company
